How do I activate my SIM card?

Activation depends on your device type:If your device supports eSIM, we’ll send you a QR code via email for digital activation.

If your device doesn’t support eSIM, we’ll ship a physical SIM card to your address.
Once you receive your SIM or eSIM, click on https://www.tinymobile.ca/sim-activations-booking to book your activation request.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital version of a traditional SIM card. It’s built into your phone, allowing you to activate mobile service without inserting a physical SIM. This makes switching plans or carriers faster and more convenient.

How do I activate an eSIM?

To activate your eSIM:Provide your IMEI2 and EID number (found in your device settings).

Book your activation at: https://www.tinymobile.ca/sim-activations-booking

Once your activation is booked, our team will begin processing it during working hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST).

You will receive a QR code via email, or the activation may be pushed directly to your device.

📶 Important: Please ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi while waiting for the eSIM to be activated.

Where do you provide service?

Tiny Mobile provides mobile service across all of Canada, including both urban and rural areas, using reliable national network partners.

How do I port my number to Tiny Mobile?

To transfer (port) your current phone number to Tiny Mobile:Submit the following:

Your phone number

Your account number from your current/previous provider

Book your activation at:
https://www.tinymobile.ca/sim-activations-booking

Once booked, our team will begin the porting process during working hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST).

You will receive a text message from your current provider asking for authorization.
📲 Reply "YES" within 90 minutes to approve the transfer.

After approval, your current SIM will stop working in around 20 minutes.

At that point:

Insert your new Tiny Mobile SIM, or

Scan the eSIM QR code sent to you (if applicable)

📞 Your number is now live on Tiny Mobile!

Do you have an offline office?

No, Tiny Mobile is a fully virtual company. Our entire support and operations team works remotely to keep costs low and service efficient.
However, our shipping team operates out of Calgary, and our main office is registered in Vancouver.
📦 All SIM cards are shipped from our Calgary location.
📍 Please note: We do not provide services or support through any offline or in-person locations. All communication is handled online.

How will I pay my bill?

Your Tiny Mobile subscription starts on the day of activation. You will need to add a payment card on file, and payments will be automatically charged each month on your billing date. This ensures uninterrupted service without manual intervention.

SIM vs. eSIM: What's the difference?

An eSIM is built directly into your device and cannot be removed. Unlike a physical SIM card, you don’t need to contact your carrier, purchase a new SIM, or swap SIM cards to change your plan. Because it’s embedded, it can’t be easily lost, damaged, or stolen.

How long does it take for the SIM card to arrive?

We offer two types of SIM delivery:Standard shipping (snail mail): Free of charge, and typically takes 4 to 10 days depending on your distance from Calgary.

Priority shipping: Available for an extra cost of $20, which ensures faster delivery, and can arrive within 1 to 3 days.
